Much like the lyrics in the popular song from Disney's recent movie, "Frozen," St. Louisans on the March for Life are opining that "the cold never bothered me anyway."

More than 2,000 pilgrims from the Archdiocese of St. Louis headed by bus, plane and car to the annual march in Washington, D.C. After a northeastern snowstorm, this year's march was held Jan. 22, the 41st anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision that made a ban on abortion unconstitutional, making abortion legal in the United States. Since then, upwards of 56 million unborn lives have been aborted. Hundreds of thousands of people usually attend the annual event.

Travelers with the Missouri Life Caravan got a late start on Jan. 21, as buses expecting to transport the group were delayed arriving in St. Louis by about an hour and a half because of the snow and ice St. Louis received that morning. Travelers made it to Washington, D.C., about 7 a.m. eastern time on Jan. 22. They were greeted with more ice and snow — about 3 to 9 inches, depending on the location. The weather forced numerous government offices and schools in the nation's capital and surrounding suburbs to close.
